Simulation #2
Born of many marks, Named by few minds
Photographic installation with participatory workshop and 3D web application software
The photographs on view were taken on a single evening after RendezVous Brussels Art Week 2025, at the close of Simulation #1 — documentation of chalk and spray marks left by visitors across two rooms at Hectolitre over three days. They have not been shown until now.
For Simulation #2, Iradukunda has built software that reconstructs both rooms as a digital space, so the photographs can be hung a second time — on physical walls, and on walls that only exist in a browser, accessible on-site or from anywhere. The marks were made by strangers and kept anonymous for a year.
Naming them, in the re-opened “Trait d’Union” room, eyes moving side-to-side from wall slideshow to wall papers, is this edition’s task, during RendezVous Brussels Art Week 2026, shared between the artist and whoever walks in.
Where: Trait d’Union. Rue de l’Hectolitre, 3. 1000 Bruxelles.
When: 12 - 13 September 2026. Saturday 21h - 22h, Sunday 13h - 18h.
3D Web Gallery (under construction): Cyber Room for Simulation #2

Leave your marks on my exhibition walls
Welcome to an indoors exhibition of black-and-white photographs shot by Chris-Armel Iradukunda (daqhris), showcased during RendezVous Brussels Art Week on the 4th (12:00-22:00), 5th and 6th (18:00-21:00) of September 2025.
It’s a couple of 3-dimensional exhibitions walking their first steps in the minds of visitors, from the virtual world to the physical walls, at Hectolitre for 3 days, on the 2nd floor of Reactor space. Next door or on other floors, your senses will also discover mind-blowing works of art presented by five artists-in-residence.
